Recluta is a remarkable 20m classic yacht, originally designed by German Frers Sr. in the 1940s and meticulously brought to life by German Frers Jr. in 2015. Inspired by the first Recluta, built by Camper & Nicholson in 1901, this yacht carries a rich heritage of craftsmanship and performance. Built for Frers’ personal use, she was constructed in Argentina by master boatbuilder Tito Szyka and his team, with an unwavering commitment to quality. First commissioned in 2021, she has since sailed to the Caribbean and Europe, proving her capability as both a racer and a cruising yacht.

Recluta qualifies as ‘Vintage’ under the CIM rule and has successfully competed in some of the most prestigious classic regattas, including Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, Palma de Mallorca, Mahón, Antibes, Cannes Régates Royales, and Argentario Sailing Week. With her light 33-tonne displacement, fractionally rigged ketch sail plan, and lifting keel, she offers exceptional performance while maintaining accessibility to shallower waters.

On deck, her teak finish, generous bulwarks, and elegant coachroof create a yacht that is as functional as it is beautiful. The spacious cockpit, featuring well-positioned winches, a central helm, and ample storage, is optimised for both racing and relaxed cruising.
