The replacement for the ever popular Lagoon 620 has been a long time coming but finally at Cannes boat show 2019 we were introduced to the Lagoon sixty-7 power catamaran. This is the predecessor to the sixty-5 sail which is due to be launched in 2020. Following on from the successful design programme of the seventy-7 the sixty-5 has the same modern lines, sharp angles on the bow, high topsides and large hull windows, the “terrace by the sea” accessible from the master cabin will follow here too as will the door onto the foredeck allowing easy access to the comfy breezy area forwards. A larger flybridge and open choice of layout complete the package. One thing is for sure the sixty-5 will be a winner whether you are a private owner or have charter aspirations.
What We Say
We have long been asking when a replacement for the Lagoon 620 will come and it seems for 2020 our prayers will be answered. Having been lucky enough to be amongst the first to go aboard the sixty-7 power version at the Cannes boat show in September 2019 we were blown away by how much style and quality Lagoon have managed to squeeze into this new Cat. Of course we are sailing specialists so going on a Power cat was… well…. an experience, but to be completely honest, lack of mast aside, we loved it. I think it will be a real winner for both charter and private owners and would be more than welcome in our fleet. Stand by for our views on the sixty-5 sailing coming early next year but don’t delay, the order book is open so contact us if you want to get in there and be one of the first owners of this beautiful new catamaran.
What The Builders Say
Imagine a haven of peace. Home away from home. A sanctuary shelter from which to explore the vastness. This is freedom. At its purest..
“The smooth flow between interior and exterior creates a feeling of warmth and conviviality throughout the boat. Whether you’re sailing with family or with friends, we have thought about every moment of life on board and about the unique places and atmospheres that make each one special.” Marc Van Peteghem – Naval architect, VPLP
“The interiors of the new SIXTY-5 is the latest step in an evolution defined by open and uninterrupted spaces that join the interior and exterior seamlessly and open views onto the beauty that you can sail to with these stable, seaworthy and dependable catamarans.” Massimo Gino – Nauta design.
